About the Author

My name is Jon Davis. I am a recent graduate of the University of North Texas school of Business. I currently run my own business development firm Bamcis Business Solutions for entrepreneurs to be wishing to develop a stable business plan for their new companies and helping veteran small business owners to take advantage of specific opportunities to them.

My most outstanding achievements include my marriage with my wonderful and supportive wife (and editor) Jennie and serving the United States Marines and taking part in two tours to Iraq.

My background is that I grew up in a small farm town in Oklahoma where there was little money, opportunity or hope for a successful and rewarding life to those who stayed. I was raised by a single mother who worked very hard to give me a better life than she had. She raised me to try always to be a competitor and always encouraged my curious nature. She was and is my biggest fan.

I was bright in elementary school, but mostly coasted through most of high-school, especially when I met this one girl. Two weeks after graduation I married that girl and then I was off to the Marines. We left that sleepy old town and moved to California. Two deployments and 4 years later I was out and we could start living together (that’s the way it is in the military.)

I decided around the time I was getting out that I wanted to go into business for myself. To get started right I went to business school to seek a degree in Entrepreneurship. I’ve almost graduated and now and am writing this blog in my spare time.

A few people have asked me why I would want to start a blog. Well I am opinionated, narcissistic and an insomniac. It all just seemed to work together when I finally decided to put m thoughts down.

I hope you enjoy it and that find some of what it offers meaningful.

-Jon

- Steve Jobs
- J.P. Morgan
- Andrew Carnegie
- Ronald Reagan
- Dwight D. Eisenhower

  1. I’ve known Jon most of his life. He grew up with my boys. I am proud to say that he has evolved into a wonderful young man. I can attest to his being opinionated and narcissistic. Truthfully, he can be a downright P-I-A sometimes. but then again, can’t we all.
I am as proud as an adopted mom can be.
Keep up the good work Jon boy. God has blessed you with a wonderful gift of words.
    You inspire me.
